Ordination of Judith Ryder

Saturday 2 July at 6pm at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford

Everyone is warmly invited to support our new curate Judith Ryder as she is ordained as Deacon and begins her ministry with us. There are no tickets, but if you are planning to attend please tell Mike Smith so that he has a rough idea of numbers.

Patronal Festival and Welcome

Sunday 3 July at 9.30am at St Peters

The whole parish joins in worship for St Peter’s Day and welcomes our new curate Judith Ryder. The service will be followed by lunch in the Rectory garden.

We will be holding an appeal at this service for Water Aid, by donating all of our collections on the day (excluding regular pledges) to this charity. Water Aid supports some of the poorest people in the world by providing safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

The Annual Fete

Saturday 9 July at 1pm at Caversham Court

It’s been announced that this year’s fete will begin with a Lancaster flypast: Press release

Watch out for notices asking for all kinds of volunteer helpers. The freezer is already open for business if you would like to make cakes early – contact Sabita Clark, either directly or via the parish office. Please also look out bric a brac, bottles, chocolate and toys. Boxes of raffle tickets are available at the back of each church.

Choral Evensong

Sunday 17 July at 6.30pm at St Peters

Tonight’s service will be fully choral. The choir begin their summer break after today.

All are welcome to celebrate the feast day of St Margaret of Antioch.

Although this is a fifth Sunday, there will be services at all three churches. July’s combined service takes place on July 3.
