Champions to End Loneliness

Tuesday 26 September at 5.30pm at Caversham Library

A presentation and workshop from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

God is challenging our churches to join with others in the community to help bring relief in the condition of loneliness. Partnership for Missional Church has teamed up with Reading Voluntary Action to present a workshop for anyone who has a heart for this condition. You will hear facts about how isolation affects many people who live around our churches and you will be given the chance to talk about the issues. You will also hear from enterprises already working to bring relief and you will be able to make suggestions of your own. Whether you resolve to start a conversation with someone you would not normally talk to — or decide to partner with a person or an already established group, it’s an excellent chance to learn of the choices there are for making a difference in the lives of local people, young and old, who feel isolated.

You can find out more and register at, or contact Mark Carpenter via the Parish Office Light refreshments provided.

If you would like to help publicise this event, you could print or share this poster.
