St Margarets celebrate the harvest today. Gifts of tinned food and toiletries will be welcome for the Churches in Reading Drop In centre.
Wednesday 5 October at Reading Minster
The new Bishop of Oxford will preside and preach at a Welcome Eucharist for the Archdeaconry of Reading.
Saturday 8 October at 6pm at St Peters
Joseph Nolan will be performing for us on the organ at St Peters. This is the second in a series of organ recitals to present our new 3 manual Viscount Classical Organ, following the superb demonstration by Philip Aspden in February. Joseph is based in Perth Australia but is visiting the UK to play at selected venues; you can read more about him at the Perth Cathedral website.

A service suitable for all ages which will include a baptism. Gifts of tinned food and toiletries will be welcome for the Churches in Reading Drop In centre. There will also be a Fair Trade stall selling groceries, chocolate, gifts, etc after the service.

The next St Peters church forum will take place after the 9.30am service. This is your chance to have a say in the running of the church, so please make every effort to attend.
Sunday 9 October at 6.30pm at St Peters
Tonight’s evensong will be fully choral. The music includes anthems by Bairstow and Stopford, responses by Radcliffe, and a setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Dyson. The service will be followed by refreshments.
Parish Barn Dance
Friday 21 October at 6.30pm at St Johns
The parish barn dance features local band Inisheer and caller Howard Ballard. Tickets are now on sale from Sabita Clark (St Peters), Ralph Taylor (St Margarets), and Sylvia Purkis (St Johns). They are £8 for adults, £4 for children, £20 for a family (2+2) and are available in advance only. You are invited to bring your own food and drinks.

The parish worships together at St Johns today. There will be no services today at St Peters or St Margarets.
Remembering a Loved One
