Farewell Lunch

Sunday 16 June in the Rectory Garden

About forty members from all three churches met in the Rectory Garden to share lunch and to give Graeme and his family a good sendoff. The weather was a disappointment, but there were gazebos for everyone.

Graeme’s three years with us was honoured in speeches, gifts, and a specially-written psalm by the choir. Among the presents given to the family was something dear to Graeme’s heart – a new Ferrari (pictured).

Graeme’s Installation

Thursday 4 July at St Luke’s, Erleigh Road

Graeme was installed as Vicar of St Luke with St Bartholomew, Reading at a service led by Bishop Andrew. The service was followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall. Reflecting the multi-cultural aspect of his new post, a number of Indian members of the congregation sang a song accompanied by traditional instruments. The celebrations continued well into the evening.
