The Caversham Community Café (3Cs) in St John’s Church was inspected by Reading Borough Council recently and is happy to announce that they have retained their ‘5 (very good)’ rating for food hygiene. It was a red-letter day for our volunteers in another way too: it was one of the busiest days we’ve ever had! As well as our regular customers, we welcomed people from the seated exercise group who meet in the church from 10.15am to 10.45am most Tuesdays. The café is also popular with members of the baby and toddler group, (held in Caversham Hall on Tuesday mornings term-time 9.30am – 11am) who come afterwards for a coffee or light lunch. The 3Cs is open from 9.30am to 2pm on Tuesdays. The café will take a break for the Christmas and New Year holidays after 12th December, re-opening on 9th January.
