The Bereavement Journey

Are you grieving or know someone who is?

Whatever the circumstances of the loss, the past 18 months are likely to have made the impact of the bereavement even more difficult.  Maybe due to losing a loved one to covid, not being able to say goodbye, not having the funeral that was hoped for, or the increased isolation at a time when support from friends and family is needed even more.

The Bereavement Journey course will be starting on Tuesday 21st September (7.30-9.30pm). It is a five-week course, which we are aiming to run in-person at St John’s Church. It is for anyone who has been bereaved at any time and in any way, providing a chance to feel less isolated by sharing the journey with others.

Each session will have short film clips and time to discuss in a small group. Topics include: Attachment, separation and loss, difficult feelings, rites of passage, the impact and pain of bereavement, coping with others, coping with change & moving forward.

The course will be led by Nicki Wisdom, Andy Storch and Liz Cheyney.
