Forthcoming Events

The Parish Calendar lists the services and events at all three churches.

Harvest

Sunday 23 September at 9.30am at St Peters

We celebrate the harvest together. Please bring food donations for CIRDIC, the Churches in Reading Drop in Centre. CIRDIC are particularly looking for tinned food – meat, vegetables, fruit; biscuits; sauces and spreads in jars; sugar; toiletries and clothing for men and woman. The collection during this service is for Launchpad, the Reading homeless charity.

Ticket-holders are reminded that the service will be followed at 11am by the Harvest Brunch. Please bring plenty of items to sell after the brunch in the Harvest Bring and Buy (proceeds to CIRDIC).

St Margarets celebrate the Harvest on 7 October, and St Johns on 14 October

Parish Barn Dance

Friday 28 September at 6.30pm at St Johns

This event, held in aid of CIRDIC, is now sold out. The popular Parish Barn Dance features the band Inisheer and caller. Ticket-holders are reminded that they should bring their own food and drink.

Combined Worship

For the fifth Sunday of the month, we meet to worship together at St Johns. Car parking will be available at New Bridge Nursery School in
Montague Street. This will be the only service in the parish today.

Church Forum

Sunday 14 October at 11am at St Peters

The St Peters church forum takes place after the morning service. If there are matters you would like the forum to address, please talk to the clergy or churchwardens.
