Journeying through Lent with St Luke

Sunday 24 March at 6.30pm at St Peters

A service of readings and songs to help us on our Lenten pilgrimage. The music by St Peters choir will include Howells Like as the Hart, Morley Out of the deep, Stopford Don’t be afraid and Tallis Salvator Mundi. Please join us for this reflective service.

Mothering Sunday

Sunday 31 March at 4pm at St Johns

There will be a Mothering Sunday Tea from 4pm to 5pm at St Johns, with tea and cake, and children’s craft activities. Everyone welcome.

Parish Annual Meetings

Sunday 7 April at 9.30am at St Johns

Please come to the Parish Annual Meetings to discuss the activities of the past year, our plans for the future, to elect churchwardens, four PCC members and a Deanery Synod Representative and to ask questions of your clergy and church council. Car parking will be available at New Bridge Nursery in Montague Street.

Reports and agendas will be posted at the APCM page when they are ready.

Holy Week and Easter

Palm Sunday

As well as the usual services in the morning, we have:

Sunday 14 April at 3.20pm at St Johns

A procession with donkeys from St John’s to the Weller Centre for the Amersham Road Cooking Club. We meet at 3.20pm at St Johns and leave at 3.30pm to walk with the donkeys to The Weller Centre. The ARCC session runs from 4pm to 6pm, with crafts, games, and hot cross buns.

Sunday 14 April at 6.30pm at St Peters

A choral service to mark the Entry into Holy Week.


Monday to Wednesday of Holy Week at 7.30pm at St Peters

Quiet services of Compline. The usual 9.30am service will take place on Wednesday as well.

Easter fun and crafts – everyone is welcome, and this event is ideal for families. Come and join us for a re-telling of the Easter story, Easter crafts and games, refreshements and much more. The event runs until 12.30pm.
