Christmas market returns in Caversham

St Peter’s Christmas Market is back. Always well attended before lockdowns, the Market will be held once more, this year, on Saturday, December 4, at St Peter’s Church, Caversham. Supporters will enjoy plenty of stalls and sideshows, wonderful crafts, refreshments, raffle and tombolas — with social distancing encouraged.

As a special treat, visitors will have the chance to be among the first to buy a brand new, just-published cookery book, compiled by the former owner of the Delicious café in Prospect Street, Caversham and bringing together favourite recipes of Caversham people. ‘Caversham Cooks – Cakes and other Sweet Treats’ is priced at £8.99 and will make perfect Christmas presents for anyone keen on a bit of baking.

Teams are busy on homemade cakes, puddings, fudge, preserves and excellent table decorations for the Christmas season. Not to be missed!

The Market runs from 10.00am to 12.30pm at St Peter’s, between Caversham Court and The Warren. Masks preferred. All proceeds will go towards re-ordering St Peter’s to better serve Caversham.
