The Autumn Ramble took place on Remembrance Sunday, November 13, under cold but clear skies. The walk started at St Peters Church, then headed north up Bugs Bottom to Tanners Lane. Heavy rain the day before had made the footpaths very muddy, and we didn’t get as far as planned.
The walk was followed by tea and toasted crumpets at Badgers Rise, where we enjoyed a Gardeners’ Question Time with Richard Bisgrove, a lecturer at Kew.

The next Sporadic walk will take place on Sunday 8 January 2017 starting at 2pm.
