St Margaret, Mapledurham

After the service on Sunday 19 April, a group of a dozen volunteers took part in the spring churchyard tidy at St Margaret’s on a gloriously sunny day. After spreading two tonnes of pea shingle; cutting back errant shrubs and ivy; strimming nettles; and clearing around the ledger stones the tired but cheerful group enjoyed lunch with some homemade soup and bread in the shade of the cherry tree. Thanks to all who took part!
