Advent Window Trail

Twenty five houses split into two mini trails around Caversham will display a special lit-up Advent window depicting part of the nativity story, from 1-25 December. The windows will be lit between 4pm-9pm approximately. As the country slowly comes out of lockdown, the St Peter’s congregation were given the opportunity to thank Mike for his leadership and support during the pandemic. This picture showing some of the messages was presented to him at a recent online church forum. Mike expressed his thanks for this and the full texts of all the messages which he also received. Everyone’s invited to be a carol singer this Christmas Eve

"What will happen at Christmas?" the churches wondered: what could they offer the people of Caversham with all the Covid-19 constraints? Only a few, mostly online, services would be possible. Ordination of Andrew Storch

On the afternoon of Saturday 19 September 2020, our curate Andy Storch was ordained priest in a service at Reading Minster led by Bishop Olivia. Caversham churches share stories in Voices of Colour

Members of many church denominations in Caversham joined together on Monday, July 20, via Zoom, to listen to the stories of black, Asian and minority ethnic residents of Caversham in response to recent demonstrations after the death of George Floyd in the USA and other racial attacks and incidents.Bishop Headley Gayle, pastor of the New Testament Church of God, brought together more than 60 people from Caversham churches and beyond. St Margaret’s re-opening for private prayer

St Margaret, Mapledurham
We are delighted to be able to say that St Margarets reopens for private prayer on Monday 6 July. The aim is to be open daily 10am to 5pm, but with a later opening time of 1pm on Sundays. Visitors are asked to follow the safety measures in place to avoid danger of infection. Read more...
